Sliema is relatively faced paced environment, both day and night, best described as city-life. The inner part of Sliema, just like the outskirts, offers a variety of apartments, but here you’ll find the larger concentration of townhouses and maisonettes. Given the city’s central location and many other pros, these options are on the higher end of the price scale by island standards. The streets are narrow and this brings with it a few complications; traffic is on the heavier side, parking becomes an issue even if various garages are available at different points of the city, also the noise pollution has residents complaining. Luckily, it all slows down come nighttime, which allows for a peaceful night’s rest – some cities can’t allow for that. But like other cities, it is constantly available to you, and whether you need to work, carry out errands, socialise, exercise, relax or unwind, Sliema has options on almost every corner – enough to allow it to keep it’s charm and some traditional character even if ever-changing.
